The third generation iLok USB Smart Key is released. The new aluminum version of the iLok, with its smaller size and sleek design, holds over 1500 software licenses and is fully backward compatible.

Support for subscription licensing is announced, allowing PACE customers to offer ongoing subscriptions for their products. Lower price points drive record sales for many publishers.

Support for sharable licenses is announced, including multi-seat licenses that can be shared across a local area network.
2013
PACE's Eden architecture and the new iLok License Manager application are released, allowing for advances in software security and license management. License management moves from iLok.com to the iLok License Manager application.
2010
The second generation iLok USB Smart Key is released. The new version of the iLok, with its smaller size and sleek design, holds over 500 software licenses and is fully compatible with the original iLok.
2003
License activation is offered through iLok.com. The website also allows users to view the contents of their iLoks and request support.
2000
The first generation iLok USB Smart Key is released. The cross-platform device includes a chip reader to support the delivery of licenses via a license card.
